A tired baker is more likely to make mistakes, and A tired baker is more likely to make mistakes, and I was daydreaming about sleeping in during our September break when I realized I'd accidentally mixed the dry ingredients for a batch of bagels with the wet ingredients for a batch of our everyday sourdough! I lamented! I self recriminated! But then I considered the resulting formula and thought, "that might just work." So I proceeded with the dough and made it into pan loaves. It's a white sourdough sandwich bread with a texture that is, as you might guess, kind of in between a bagel and the everyday sourdough. It's pretty good! If you all like it, maybe I'll make it again, on purpose some time!

It's a sourdough bread with a little rye flour and lots of tasty sunflower, sesame and flax seeds from @wholegrainmilling . I particularly love it toasted with jam.

It's made of sunflower seeds! Original and smoked flavors are available on a bagel or bialy or in a retail package! Garlic scapes are one of my favorite vegetables. It's the young flower stalk of a garlic plant, and it's only available for a short while! We got 30 lbs from @burningriverfarm and grilled them before slicing and mixing them into cream cheese. Go ahead and put it on a green garlic bialy if you're that kind of garlic fiend!

We were hoping to go straight from our chive bloss We were hoping to go straight from our chive blossom cream cheese to our charred garlic scape cream cheese, but nature had other plans! We don't have a seasonal cream cheese this week, but we made lots and lots of dill scallion! We did get another delivery of this beautiful green garlic, and will have our very special seasonal bialys all this week and next!
